Living on hope....

A day-off to somewhere remote but special could refresh you in many ways. A visit from Ticket, a junior back in koleq who currently study in Hokkaido with his friends from Yamanashi to my humble apato in Kyoto opened the chance for this unplanned journey. Being lucky, we were also joined by fellow Kyotorians...who just ended their exam week, starving for adventure and always in the mood for a GO...

The place is called Amanohashidate (天橋立) and listed canonically among the Nihon Sankei (日本三景), Japan's Three Most Scenic Places. Amanohashidate, is actually just a 3 km thin strip of sand bar connecting two sides of Miyazu Bay. Out of high hope to live in heaven in the afterlife, a Japanese myth have been created a hundred years ago and still being practised until today. It is said that if you turn your back towards the bay at the viewing spot, bend over and look between your legs, you can view the sand bar as a 'bridge in the heaven'. I've personally did it but not in the search of seeing heaven, just due to plain curiosity on how people could compare an earthly matter to something so sacred. Afterall, a good trip doesn't really depends on the place that you are visiting, but mostly contributed from your own mood and the person that keeps you company. Even a visit to a Takoyaki stall near your house could be a great one if you went there with someone you love to share your time with.

I believe in hope...and I do believe that one thing that drive us hard to reach for our aim is hope. In life, we always hope for God's grace and mercy (Keredhaan-Nya), hope for blessing from God and our parents in pursuing our journey, hope for a wonderful family, good job, good pay, good companion and many others. Perfectly match to its definition, hope doesn't always attainable and much similar to a journey rather than a destination.

In pursuing hope, there will be many obstacles ahead. One must share hope and always believe that there is always enough hope for everyone in this world. Hope is the backbone of love. Even if you fail in the first attempt, we hope for the next one to be successful. And we really mean it. If husband clashes with wife, there is still a hope for a successful marriage in the next one. Hope is the destiny of every life. Our life is like a tree. Time is the root and hope and fear are the branches. Hope and fear are inseparable in your life. The time will come when the blossoming flowers on our tree are able to grow and emerge being the fruit of 'love'. Some said that true love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. I am still in search for the answer about this. Dear friends, do believe in God's mercy and don't ever give up hope.....
